It’s been a while since I have played at PDCC and Case Study both, so today’s card’s colour palette is based on the colour story at PDCC and the inspiration comes from the GORGEOUS Sarah Martina Parker’s card. Along with these two, my very bold and colourful inspiration comes from a challenge at ICR.
Here’s my card…
The big ass flower is handmade (obviously) and so is the flower centre! I gotta buy some huge gems and pearls for my big BIG flowers.
That colourful layer is just a normal piece of white scrap paper that I painted with poster paints, embossed and distressed with teal ink. I hand stitched along the edges and distressed it very roughly to make it look like it’s fabric…
I didn't have any pearly swirls/flourish so I made one of my own. Instead of using a sentiment, like in the inspiration card, I chose to add butterflies… I HAD to add butterflies if there is such a BIG flower, right?! RIGHT! lol
Here is another view:
Hope you guys like it. Not my favourite though, my parents didn’t quite like it too. Oh, and yeah…. check me out making double looped bows! AWESOME! :)
Hugs and kisses
