CASEing Andrea Ewen

DSC03700

Hello everyone, I have another card for CASE Study challenge. This time I am CASEing Andrea Ewen’s following card…

WMSC25r

Here is my take on it…

DSC03692

Yeah I know not good… I think I have lost my mojo… the last two cards and this one too, all seem out of place right? My best friend said it feels like I am making cards forcefully, as if my heart’s not in it… so I think I will be taking a break from card making…

Anyways, the flower is handmade, I have painted over it with ivory pearl paint. The leaves are punched and sprinkled with white glitter. The heart is hand drawn and paper on it is a digi-freebie, this too is covered in white glitter. I added hand stitching around the edges of the PP (digi-freebie) and distressed it with blue and green chalk inks.

I added lace and silver net in place of the burlap. Here is a closer view.

I placed a few pearls on the lace… I was short of spongy two way tape so I used paper scraps behind the heart and the shapely to add dimension.

The card is paler looking in person. The blue here looks a bit vibrant, in reality it is very soft, pale blue with green tint along the edges. Just one of those cards you cant photograph right.

hugs

E

P.S: If you missed my yesterday’s card, you can check it out HERE.

It might feel like you've lost your mojo. I know that feeling all too well. But your cards look fabulous! I hope you have the best break if you decide to take one. I thoroughly enjoyed mine!

And maybe it would feel good to just play with techniques & not have to put anything together for a while.

I love this quote: "It is a paradox of creative recovery that we must get serious about taking ourselves lightly. We must work at learning to play.” Julia Cameron.

Sending giant hugs!

Oh, my goodness...you are WAY to hard on yourself! I think your card is a wonderful CASE of my card, in fact, your's is a much more feminine version of mine...so lovely in it's elegant ribbon, precious paper heart and gorgeous pearly lace! I absolutely adore it! And you really must pay attention to the quote above, it certainly is true! Thank you for designing such a beauty from my inspiration...I so truly appreciate it! And thanks for playing along with us at CASE Study and for helping us celebrate our first birthday!

If this is what you come up with when your mojo has deserted you then I would be pleased for your lack of mojo! This card is really beautiful and feminine and you just got the biggest compliment from Andrea! I wouldn't worry too much about the mojo :)

Sometimes a break does help rejuvenate and get your creative juices flowing - I hope you feel happier about your next creation and start enjoying it again. People can tell you until they're blue in the face that something you've made is gorgeous, but we all know that if you aren't happy about it yourself then it'll make little difference.

I look forward to the return of your smile! :)

This is beautiful as all your cards E.T! I understand the whole feeling burnt out and no mojo thing. Happens a lot with me. I think blogging adds to the frustration. But then things settle down, and I seem to get going a gain. Your work is always beautiful, so don't stay away too long!

Forced? Out of place? I think NOT! No, Erum, you may not be feeling the mojo but I'm certainly seeing it. Your case is absolutely gorgeous and the soft colours make me feel so relaxed! I hope you get the rest you need. :)
