Altenew: Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory | Watercolored with Distress Inks | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

Hello♥
I hope you are coming from the Altenew blog, if you just happen to drop by, know that we are releasing a new Build-A-Flower today which is Morning Glory. There are a lot of beautiful projects on the Altenew blog from DT and guests. You should definitely check them out.

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Morning Glory | Watercolored with Distress Inks | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0
I started by stamping my images with distress inks. After that I took a waterbrush to spread the ink and play with the stamped image a little to make it look like a watercolour painting.

The twig/branch is painted freehand. I heat embossed the sentiment onto black cardstock and popped it on one corner with foam tape.

I really like how the "faux painting" looks. I hope you like it as well.

I love your card and the technique you used. I tried this the other day but not very successfully. I will have to try again and maybe use my Misti... I love the soft and artsy effect.

Such a LOVELY coloring Erum! I have that very color of Morning glories growing all over the fences in my yard. I LOVE them even though the farmers here call them weeds. I find the bright centers to be so cheerful and glowing from within:))

Well I know what I'm going to have to do with my layering stamps next. This is stunning. Possibly most impressive is how you managed to make the branches look perfectly in sync with the whole painting. I just know I would make a mess of that part. :D Thanks for sharing this lovely idea. I can't wait to try it out!
