Guest Designing at Top Tip Tuesday

26032012969 heloww!!! Last week my THIS card was crowned as “Caught their eye” at Top Tip Tuesday and I was invited to Guest Design for this week’s challenge which is Easter/ or use animals on your project. I chose animals and picked this cute digi from Bugaboo stamps (sponsor).
Sadly the Top Tip Tuesday team did not receive my email and card attachment, therefore you wont find my card on their blog at the moment.

The pearly grid was inspired by a card I saw while browsing some Pinterest boards. The image is coloured with Classic Faber Castell colour pencils.

Sentimental Sundays: Easter or Spring

21032012951

Hi everyone! I hope you all are in great health. Today I bring to you a brand new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays and this week the challenge theme is Spring or Easter. I chose Spring and used Meljen’s beautiful digi called Victorian Birdcage. Meljen’s Design is our sponsor this week.

My inspiration from Moxie Fab Tuesday Trigger and sketch over at Card Patterns:

It was VERY windy when I took these pictures, the card kept tipping over, you can see the very weird angle above!

21032012953 All flowers and leaves are cut using Silhouette SD and coloured with distress inks. The beautiful tiny gems (glitter gems) and gold glitter balls are from Pie Lane. The birdie is coloured with Classic Faber Castell colour pencils.

21032012952 The frame is Silhouette cut, the flower stamp and sentiment used here is by Hero Arts. The background paper is a digi-freebie photo frame.

21032012946There are many tiny details in this card, it took me quite a long time to put this together. Even though my printer is very low on ink, the paper looks fine and goes with the shabby/vintage feel of the card.

Please visit the Sentimental Sundays blog to check out what the rest of the team has churned up!

See you soon!

Sentimental Sundays: Metal!

18032012926

Hello everyone! I am back with a new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays and the theme this week is METAL! So all you gotta do is use metal somewhere on your project + a sentiment.

18032012927

This week we are sponsored by the sexy Kenny K stamps! I have used Carmen Electrafying on my project.

Instead of making a card this time, I thought I’d vamp up my small notebook. The image is coloured with Classic Faber Castell color pencils. The sentiment is by HA, the circular frame stamp is by Schlosser designs. My metal element would be the orange and white polka dot brad. I got the brad in RAK once upon a time :)

That’s it from my side. Please stop by the Sentimental Sundays blog to check out what the rest of the DT created.

xoxo

Lia Stampz – Anything Goes + a Sentiment.

Hello folks. Hope you guys are well and kickin!

This week at Lia Stampz we have “Anything Goes” theme but you MUST include a sentiment. I kept my card CAS and masculine!

10032012869Okay so it can be used as a unisex card, even better!

This little mouse is called Winner and you can get this from Whimsy Stamps. Instead of using plain browns, green and blues for masculine cards, I thought to add a bit of punch to it by using a yellow base card.

10032012873

I SO wanted to add the sentiment “I believe I can fly” LOL! Anyway, Winner is coloured with Faber Castell’s Classic colour pencils. The gray parts are pencil shaded (you know how I LOVE pencil shading).

You have two weeks to enter in our Anything goes with a sentiment challenge. You have no excuses not to enter, it’s an anything goes challenge for crying out loud! LOL

You DON’T need to use a digi image to enter.

Au revoir mon ami!

Inspired… again!

14032012892

Hello everyone! I had a surge of mojo today after a long time… saw this pic at Clearsnap blog… and sketch from Verve Stamps.

Valentine Mantel Decor - Sabrina Alery[1]

How beautiful is the decor? Now here is my card based on the inspiration picture above. I turned the sketch CCW and flipped it horizontally.

I have to tell you that this card is beautiful in person and I could do only so much with a cellphone camera. The pattern paper is a digi freebie and is distressed with ColorBox cats eye queue in Black, Lava Black and Colonial Blue.

Here are some detail shots.

I was inspired by the pompoms, colour palette, the ornate frames, heart and glitter.

These flowers are handmade. I tried to play with the wool pompom and tease the ends a bit. I think it looks cute :)

This heart is roughly hand drawn, I sprinkled steel gray glitter on it along with a few sparkly silver bits that are used to decorate henna bowls here.

The flourish you see is by Cheery Lynn Designs.

I added some chunky glitter by Pie Lane to make the butterfly’s body.

This frame is Silhouette cut. I applied some pearly 3D paint on it to give it texture, I then distressed it with Colorbox CEQ in Sky Gray.

The butterfly is distressed with Colorbox CEQ in Old Rose and Dusty Plum.

Added a couple of purple flowers with Pie Lane chunky glitter centers. These flowers are coloured with ColorBox CEQ in Heliotrope.

I did a bit of hand stitching to add more texture.

I swear this card is beautiful in person. I just wish I could take a better picture. Here is another full view and then I am outta here! Ciao! xoxo
