Altenew Build-A-Flower: Camellia Release

Altenew Camellia Build-A-Flower pencil colored using Prismacolor pencils by @pr0digy0
Hello all!
So happy you stopped by my blog today!
I wanted to thank you all for the wonderful and encouraging comments you have been leaving for me. Thank you very much!
Altenew has released this gorgeous Camellia flower and die set and I used it on two cards today.

First off is my pencil coloured version of it.

Altenew Camellia Build-A-Flower pencil colored using Prismacolor pencils by @pr0digy0

I recently bought Prismacolor pencils, I am still learning how to use them. I shared a card over at Altenew blog yesterday and that was my first time using these pencils. Today is my second try and though the flowers look gorgeous, I don't enjoy colouring with them very much. I love my Faber Castell kids pack more :p

I did a bit of masking to add leaves and one of the flowers (the partial one at the top). This is a big flower, you will love it!
For my card background I kept the pencil pressure very low because I wanted the texture of the paper to show up and vice versa for the flowers and leaves.

Here is my second card, which is simpler.

I did a bit of masking to create my main panel. This flower is so gorgeous that it works well even without adding colour to it.

That is all from my side.If you just happen to stop by my blog, make sure to hop on over to Altenew for a chance to win $30 gift certificate. They will be drawing three winners from all the comments left on THIS post.

Thanks for stopping by!
-Erum

You did a FABULOUS job coloring in the red flower. It is breathtaking!! I also love how you did the background with the same pencils. I also like the simple black and white one. This set is so versatile. Great design!!

That red is so eye-catching! I don't know how you created the BG (I'm guessing you went over the textured card base in varying degrees of intensity with a lead pencil?), but the result makes it look like the flowers are floating over it. Also love the simplicity of the B&W card.

Love your beautiful cards Erum. . . . but you absolutely HAVE to get the "P" so people can pin your cards more easily onto their Pinterest boards.
An admirer of your lovely work,
Loralee

Beautiful cards, particularly the red one. Interesting that you didn't enjoy colouring with your Prismacolors, though, most people seem to rave over them so it's good to hear a different view.

The red flowers on the card are AWSOME. They are beautiful. I don't use my Prisma pencils as much as I should. I prefer the AquaBlend pencils and use Gambol to blend them better. Thanks for showing us your talent.

What a nice set! Your red flowers are so stunning! Love your coloring of them and the background. What kind of paper did you use? The black and white is also nice and a great idea.

Absolutely stunning! I can't believe that this was your second time using them (but obviously not your first time using colored pencils ;) ). I love my Prismas! But I don't color half as good as you.

These are quite beautiful! I particularly love the shading around the red flowers-- it adds so much depth to the image. And the intense red against that lightly colored black is so rich!

These cards are gorgeous!

This is amazing! I can't believe the Camellia was coloured in only with colour pencils! Why don't you like the Prismas? I'm thinking of buying new colour pencils and everyone seems to be using them so your input would be very useful.

A gorgeous card- I think I'd want to frame this one! Cannot believe these strikingly beautiful flowers were colored with prismacolor pencils!!!

So beautiful, Erum! The red flowers are amazing and I love the background. But the black and white one is just as stunning. Your work is so inspiring!
