Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hi there everyone!

You must be here from Erin Thompson's wonderful blog!

Welcome to the Year in Review Blog Hop!

Let's have a walk down memory lane like always, shall we? :)

Altenew Rainbow Watercolor Card

Rainbow watercolour flowers. I loved the look of this and so did you!

Altenew White Vellum Flowers

Beautiful white vellum flowers. This was a remake of an older card using a much older Altenew stamp Peony Scrolls. I thought I would recreate it in a modern style.

This is my favourite card! I love colouring. And I love combining alcohol markers with watercolour.

Some pencil colouring on Courageous You.

Everyone LOVED this card. It is easy. It looks beautiful!

If you don't know what to do with your Woodless Watercolour Pencils. watch this video https://youtu.be/wFCYpcmrA_s

A very textured, soft-looking card, turned out beautiful.

A video where I share how to do underpainting.

Last but not the least, this card that I love. I love colouring creases and folds. I love colouring clothes so I thoroughly enjoyed colorouing her jeans and jumper!

Altenew is giving away a $30 gift certificate to 5 lucky winners and a $15 gift certificate to 4 lucky winners! Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Vintage Tapestry Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Craft Your Life Project Kit Release.

You must be here from the Altenew Card Blog.

This month's kit is called the Vintage Tapestry and it is GORGEOUS!

I have several cards to share with you but I do apologize in advance that I won't be able to share ink names as I lost all of my data.

I added a light colour wash on the background before adhering the images.
All of my cards have a lot of gold splatters!

For this one, I actually added a light ink blending on the background. Each card has something different going on.

Ombre ink blending on the background and a mix of stenciling and stamping.

I used the embossing folder too on this one! So much fun and texture! Again, lots of inking on this too!

Again, I used the embossing folder on this one and on top of that, I used the stencil to apply ink through the stencil. I then ran the panel gain through the embossing folder to get all the gorgeous dimension back! So good!!

I am sure you can tell I had SO MUCH FUN creating these cards! And there is no colouring involved here!

I hope you liked the cards and that they inspired you.

Altenew NEW Sweet Moments Collection Release Blog Hop

Altenew Happy Petals Stamp | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

Hi there everyone!
I hope you are doing great!
Welcome to another fabulous Altenew release!

You must be here from Mindy Eggen's blog. If not then hop onto the Altenew blog and start over! I don't want you to miss out on any chance of getting your hands on these amazing prizes!

Altenew Happy Petals Stamp | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

Both my cards feature the same stamp set but I have used different materials to color the images.
The stamp featured is called the Happy Petals Stamp Set and it also has a coordinating die with it. I also shot the video for both these cards, it is quite easy to make these so I was thinking I will share them together in one video if you would like to see it!

The image is heat embossed and colored with Artist Alcohol Markers. To add a bit of interest to the background, I also added a little ink blending and created an ombre look. It does look really nice and adds quite a touch to the image!

This one has a softer look and is the complete opposite of the first dramatic card I shared. This could make a pretty card to give at someone's wedding or for mother's day, just change the sentiment :)

I heat embossed and colored the image on vellum this time and again, used the same markers for this too.
Please do let me know if you would like to see a video and I will share one soon!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Queen of the Lilies Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Queen of the Lilies | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

Hello and welcome to the Build-A-Flower: Queen of the Lilies Blog Hop.

You must be here from the Altenew Card Blog
Isn't this flower just GORGEOUS?!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Queen of the Lilies | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

You will be surprised to read this but I stamped this flower. No watercolor this time. It was JUST SO BEAUTIFUL in all its glory! I had to just use all those layers and all the beautiful shades of inks that Altenew has!

Altenew Build-A-Flower: Queen of the Lilies | Erum Tasneem | @pr0digy0

I usually don't record a video when I am creating stamping projects because it takes me SO LONG to make "stamping" cards. But I set it to record so I could remember the ink names and I ended up recording the entire process. I had so much fun creating this. The video will go live on Monday, December 6th, 2021 9:00 am EST HERE.

Can you see the subtle stenciling in the background? I added that at the VERY end because I forgot to add a bit of green to my background watercolour. And if you have watched any of my watercolor videos, you know that I do add a bit of "every color main I am using" to my background to balance it.

Inks used: Vanilla Cream, Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Sunkissed, Limeade. Lime, Fresh Leaf. Autumn Blaze, Mahogany Bark, Mountain Pine, Shadow Creek, Grass Fields, and Firefly.
