Ca-yoot CAS!

DSC03603

Hello! I have another CAS card!

DSC03600

Oh this is so cute! It didn't come out right in the picture but it is CA-YOOT! I have used Pie Lane self adhesive holographic gems here as leaves, in my previous cards I used them as butterfly’s body. These gems are BEE-UTIFUL!!! They sparkle and give out the most amazing colours! They kinda look like Swarovski crystals.

Here is a close up:

DSC03605

Absolutely stunning lil things! LOVE THESE!

The flowers are punched. The ribbons and pearls are from my stash.

Yellow Yellow Dirty Fellow

My blog went AWOL last night so most of you must have missed my earlier post. You can check it out HERE.

DSC03596

Hello hello!

So blogger was playing games with me this fine morning. All of my blogs (test blogs etc etc) disappeared from my Dashboard! I was shit scared! I got about twenty mails from you wonderful visitors asking me what's wrong and what's up with my blog, thank you so much for the concern sweeties!

On to my card that I have to show… it’s based on the sketch at card patterns, colour splash at PDCC, Tuesday Trigger,Yvonne’s challenge and Simply scrapping crafts. Here you go…

It’s a simple card, I have used CB butterfly diecut, the houndstooth paper scrap left from the last card. The chevron/zigzag pattern is also a print out, I designed this myself on Photoshop. The twine was originally ivory so I coloured it with my best friend, Crayola marker in “Goldenrod”.

The scallops are hand cut and I have added pearls along the scalloped edge.

The yellow diamond gems are from Pie Lane and the sentiment is from TradeFish Designs.

I like this one, it’s cute!

hugs,

E

I Love Pencil Shading.

DSC03562

Hello everyone! I have a card to show you today. It is based on the colour story at PDCC which is Black and White with a SPLASH of any one colour.

DSC03573

I have had this flower design printed out for quite some time. The print is pencil shaded. I always prefer pencil shading to colouring.

The houndstooth pattern on the hand cut scallops is also a printout. I know you can see the pearls on the flowers, but can you see the pearls placed between scallops (in the valley)?

The shaded grey lace and ribbons are from my stash… These two butterflies are the last of the tiny ones… you wont be seeing these till I get a new Silhouette blade.

The sentiment is from TradeFish Designs.

Here is another view.

DSC03560

I took about fifty shots of this card and not even one came out right. But I like how everything came together. I especially like the houndstooth pattern here, it gels everything together.

Thanks for stopping by!

xoxo

It’s Raining “BOYS”!

DSC03531

Hello bloggers! How are you guys doing? I have a card to show you today based on the sketch at Skipping Stones. Here you go!

DSC03526

The “baby hammock” image is from Bows and Berries. The twin heart stickers and self adhesive heart gem is from Pie Lane. I have attached the gem heart in such a way that it looks as if the baby is holding it :)

The alphabets are hand drawn, cut (I still don't have a new Silhouette blade) and stamped with one of the stamps from Skipping Stones Pumpkin Seed set.

The embossed background design is from Sizzix texture plate “ABC baby”. The scalloped design is made with fancy scissors. Everything else is from my stash.

I am seriously liking the PDCC colors!

DSC03517

Hello everyone!

I needed a quick card to give to my aunt who had a knee surgery today. I didnt want to give a conventional get well soon card, just something to let her know she is important. I thought PDCC colours would be best for her card and I found the perfect sentiment too!

Here’s my CAS card…

DSC03513c

Wow! This will be my third entry for PDCC!

I have painted the pink and purple panel. The butterfly is from by silhouette stash. It is covered with chunky white holographic glitter from Pie Lane. The orange diamond gems are also from Pie Lane. The sentiment is from TradeFish Designs. I have used two different colors of ink for the sentiment.

That’s it! Hope my attempt at CAS is OK. After making such heavily embellished cards this one seems so “naked”!

Another one for PDCC

DSC03506

Hello people! Hope you guys are rockin and kickin! It is hot here, sadly no clouds today.

I have made another card based on the color story at PDCC. (if you missed my first entry, it’s HERE). The sketch is from Papercraft Star and embossing from Simply scrapping crafts.

Here is my card:

DSC03503

The flowers are handmade; drawn very very roughly, cut, distressed to give a grungy look and rolled. The butterfly is from an original butterfly picture; scanned and printed. At first I was adding something else but I saw the “fanatical about botanical” challenge at Moxie fab so I used a real butterfly instead.

You wont be able to see but I have added lots of pearls on the white lace. Here is another view.

The pearls on the lace are placed at the centre of the circular design and in middle of the flower design.

I have ran a glitter ribbon (shades of purple) behind the purple organza ribbon. The sentiment frame is from my Silhouette stash and the sentiment is from TradeFish Designs.

I made swirls from silver glitter balls (from Pie Lane) and added a bit of faux stitching to balance the whole design.

Hope you like it. Dont forget to check out and COMMENT on my second attempt at CASE Study HERE.

P.S: Another post due tomorrow. A CAS card! Woohoo!

Soft Hues…

DSC03453

Hello hello! Yes I have another card to show today! I have been creating for four consecutive days and this is really surprising as I am a real lazy ass. Anyhoo, the inspiration for today’s card comes from the picture at Papercraft Star.

I would have never used these colours on my own. I don’t think out of the box when it comes to colours. This card turned out great.

DSC03449

The flower is handmade, do you recognize the studded leaves? I had a light bulb moment last time I was working with these little things and this is what I came up with. Looks great right? I added a bit of silver net behind the flower.

The frame, butterfly and little flowers are from my Silhouette stash. The purple lace and orange ribbon is also from my stash.

I did a bit of hand stitching around the card to add that something extra.

The glitter balls in silver, gold and copper are from PIE LANE, I have used them as fillers here. The self adhesive holographic rhinestones in the middle of the butterfly is also from PIE LANE. Here’s a close up.

DSC03452

The background paper is a digi-freebie and has been in my stash for quite some time. Here is another view of the card. You can see the shaded purple lace more clearly in this shot.

DSC03448

Hope you like it! Don’t forget to visit my earlier posts, I have been creating and posting cards regularly since a couple of days.

Gingerloft – Make it Sparkle

**This is my second post of the day. Please scroll down to view and COMMENT on the previous cards.

DSC03409

Hello everyone!

It’s time again for another fun challenge at Gingerloft and this time we want to see you make something SPARKLY! Here is my sparkly creation.

DSC03406

I love this image, it’s called Delilah! Next time I will make a wall hanging out of it and frame it. I think it is fantastic and I think that someone with great colouring skills will be able to do justice to this image. I tried my best to colour it nicely.

I kept the card as simple as possible so that the eyes are drawn to the image instead of other embellishments. I have outlined the image with black glitter and coloured with regular Faber Castell colour pencils. I tried to stick to the peacock feathers colour palette (which, of course, is beautiful).

You have 2 weeks to play at Gingerloft Challenge so come on and link up your sparkly creations!

Don’t forget to check my earlier posts, I have been making cards everyday since a couple of days.

Hugs,

E

Another card based on Skipping Stones sketch

DSC03472

Hello again peepz! Hope you all are doing well. This is a hat-trick post for me, posting for three consecutive days! *touch wood* I know I wont be doing much pretty soon as our Holy month of Ramzan will start soon and it will be close to impossible for me to create while fasting.

Today’s card is also based on the sketch at Skipping Stones. It is such an easy sketch and I am sure I will be using it again and again.

DSC03473

I have used one of the sentiments from Skipping Stones Pumpkin Seed set. It is stamped directly on to a “REAL” piece of wood scraping! I have been hoarding these since a year now. I picked up a few of these wood scrapings when we were changing our window frames.

The glitter balls are from Pie Lane and the copper sequins is from my stash. See you soon with my Gingerloft card!

Glittery Butterflies

DSC03441

Hey bloggers! Whenever I say I will be MIA for a while I tend to make a card everyday!

I need some cards to send out to friends in Blogville so I decided to stick to the Skipping Stones Design sketch which is quite simple.

DSC03437

I have used one of the stamps from the Skipping Stones Pumpkin Seed set behind the butterflies. The butterflies are printout.

is this CAS enough?

E

An Idea…

DSC03417

Hellow!!! I had this idea in my head of how this card will come together and it looked pretty awesome. Sadly, when I applied the idea, I didn't get what I had in my mind. Anyhoo, this is what I came up with. It looks OK. I do love the woody frame though.

DSC03424

This card is based on the sketch at Skipping Stones Design. I have used PIE LANE stickers (flowers) here and given them some dimension. I have also used their glitter balls (love these!) in gold and silver. The metallic copper sequins is from my stash.

Soft and Dreamy – Now in BLUE!

SCROLL DOWN TO THE END OF THE POST FOR THE FREEBIE

DSC03364

Hello everyone! I changed up the colours and made another “almost similar” card.…

This card too is based on the sketch at Skipping Stones.

DSC03359C

The flower is handmade, the flower centre is a button. I have used Skipping Stones Pumpkin Seed to make the card’s background. I wanted a grungy and worn off effect for the stamp, so I applied ink generously on some parts of the stamp. Also smudged some of the ink around the edges of the kraft cardstock. Added a bit of silver string. I tried to give this card a shabby chic look, Forgot to place the pearls inside the leaves, like I did in the last pink card.DSC03362

The stem is made with glitter balls from PIE LANE. The embellishments used to make “leaves” are from my stash.

Hope you guys like it. I am pretty sure now I will be MIA for a bit as its getting hotter here day by day and then to top it off we have load shedding and other electricity problems.

xoxo

Guest Designing at ICR – Pink Challenge with a Twist

DSC03374
Wowieee!!! Second GD spot for me! I have been asked to do another GD spot too… you will find out about that in the near future. For now, I have been invited as a Guest Designer at ICR (Indian Craft Room) as I was one of the Top 5 in ICR4.
To play at ICR this week and the next, you have to create something Pinkalicious! 100% pink card, if you can’t make a complete 100% pink card (like me) you can add cream or white but NO black! There is a twist as well, the ICR team would like you to do the “tic tac toe” for combo/combo twist. Here is the Tic Tac Toe chart. I chose Flower, Ribbon and Button.

I was totally blank and then I saw the inspiration pic at Papercraft Star, just jump started my mojo a bit. I used the sketch at Skipping Stones.

DSC03379
The flower is handmade and is shaded pink (inner) to white (outer). The flower centre is a button. The stem is made of glitter balls from PIE LANE. The embellishments used to make “leaves” are from my stash. I added a bit of silver string. This is one of those cards that looks better in person.
DSC03376
Close up of PIE LANE glitter balls… Do play along folks… there are fabulous pressiez to be won!
