Altenew June 2025 Release + GIVEAWAY

 

Hello and welcome to the Altenew June Release!

I don't have many projects to share for this release. It was a super busy time with the Secret Garden retreat and preparations for the upcoming Cozy Comfort Retreat. By the way, if you haven't heard, we've extended the early-bird discount, and if you haven't grabbed your pass to the Cozy Comfort, you definitely should, because we won't be extending the early bird again!

Okay now! Let's jump in!

This one was the very first card I made for the release. 

The project features the Build-A-Garden Radiant Blossoms. 

First, I stamped and stenciled the image and die-cut it, then I only stenciled the image on the card front. Although I planned to use muted or lighter inks on the back, I was having too much fun and forgot to take care of that one thing :) 

I like how it turned out - it looks full, fun, and happy!

My second card features the Mini Delight: Regal Frame Stamp & Die Set. 

I was aiming for a sophisticated, classy look, and I had so many ideas for this set (but, so little time - IYKYK). 

I might use this in one of my design time posts over at Altenew.

My third card features a few products: the Magical Peony Simple Coloring Stencil Set, the Versatile Greetings 3 Die Set, and the Playful Stripes Stencil. 

I did not use the Press Plate on this one, so I could show that you can use this on its own, with just the stencils, and it will still look stunning!

This one doesn't feature the whole Craft Your Life Project Kit: Bold & Beautiful. I had fun playing with a slightly different color palette. Normally, I try to break the uniformity of green, but I didn't overwork this where inking was concerned. However, I did use one of the Fine Liner pens to add a bit of doodling and outline to the images,

Tell you what - I was not in the mood to create, at all. So, I started with the inked background, then came the stenciling over it. After a couple of days, I added some more inking around the edges because I was horrified. But then I thought, I have a very bright green glitter cardstock, let's just grab that... and that's how we got this card, ladies and gentlemen :)

Features: Heritage Chevron Weaves Stencil and Today Is a Good Day Die Set.

My last card, card number 6, features the Craft-A-Flower: Prairie Roses Layering Die Set and the Batik Blooms 3D Embossing Folder. This one looks really dramatic. I'm glad it turned out great because I was in the same mood as the yellow-green card before this one! Let's all thank God for providing me with a little creative boost on this project! LOL

Altenew May 2025 Release + GIVEAWAY

 

Hi there, everyone!

Welcome to the Altenew May 2025 Release Hop + GIVEAWAY!

The Altenew hop starts HERE.

As always, I had an absolute blast creating the projects for this release - I didn't have enough time to play with all the products, but GOSH! This was SO MUCH FUN! 

My first card features the GORGEOUS Craft Your Life Project Kit: Magnificent Magnolias. 

I added soft inking to the background to accentuate the flowers. I like how this one turned out. You will notice I used this particular color palette quite a bit.

My second card features the Mini Delight: Potted Shelves Stamp & Die Set. 

I watercolored the background. The shelf is gold heat embossed, and the die-cuts are colored using Artist Alcohol Markers.

I used the Opera Lemon watercolor tube to create my faux-fireflies! 

The third card features Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail. 

Absolutely adore this one; brings a smile to my face :) It looks so pretty!! The ink shades are quite muted in person.

The fourth card features only the stamp from the Build-A-Garden: Tranquil Trail and one of the vases from the Pitcher Vases 3D Embossing Folder & Die Set.

The fifth card is super simple. This one features the Lace 3D Embossing Folder. The sentiment is from the Creative Cuts: In the Woods Layering Die Set. 

I used Cloud White Pigment Ink on the embossed pattern and added Mother of Pearl Gem Sparkles for the bling.

Card number six features three products from the release, one product from the promo. One of the vases from the Pitcher Vases 3D Embossing Folder & Die Set, some sprigs and flowery bits from the Creative Cuts: In the Woods Layering Die Set, and the sentiment from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Magnificent Magnolias. You will see the stencil in the background soon at Altenew.

My seventh card is a one-layer card with a significant amount of masking, featuring only the stencil and sentiment from the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Magnificent Magnolias.

And my last card features the beautiful Stencil Art: Ditsy Flowers Wallpaper Layering Stencil Set, along with one of the vases from the Pitcher Vases 3D Embossing Folder & Die Set. I added a bit of texture using a couple of relief pastes, mixing them to complement the inking.

Altenew March 2025 Release Hop + GIVEAWAY

Welcome to the Altenew March 2025 Release Hop + GIVEAWAY!

I haven’t blogged in 2 years, so it was a surprise to find myself participating in a blog hop, LOL. You will find me mostly on Instagram now. 

This card features the Creative Cuts: Old City Doors Layering Die Set. 

I painted the scene using Artists’ Watercolor Tubes and Gouache.

This card features the Mini Delight: Bridge to My Heart Stamp & Die Set. 

I used dye inks to add a soft color wash to the background.

This card features the Quill & Inkwell Die Set, Scripted Sentiments Die Set, and Royal Brocade 3D Embossing Folder. 

This card features the Build-A-Garden: Oxeye Daisy without an outline.

This project features the Craft Your Life Project Kit: Flower Arch, and I used a matching relief paste to add shimmer to the bricks.

And here is my last project; I didn’t make too many this time - Stencil Art: Strong Oak Layering Stencil Set (6 in 1).
