Gingerloft – Tie a yellow ribbon

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are well…  It’s time again for another challenge at Gingerloft and this time the theme is “Tie a Yellow Ribbon”. You have until June 11 at midnight to play our yellow ribbon challenge.  The random winner will receive 3 digs of their choice from the Gingerloft store and the top 3 will be asked to be the GDT.

My inspiration for the colour palette is this image from Pinterest.

I have been making quite a few of these lil wall hangings lately. They look cute. The sentiment is from the Tire Swing Set at Gingerloft.

The flowers are handmade, except for those tiny four petal ones. The yellow rhinestones are from Pie Lane. These are self adhesive rhinestones. They were so easy to stick, no messy gluey stuff on them see!  You can visit Pie Lane’s Facebook page HERE. Flashback Friday 11.0 - *First Wedding Card*

WOW! Cant believe I used to make so many flowers from scratch. I had some stamina back then! LOL

I am posting my first wedding card for the Flashback Friday Challenge. I was blog hoping and saw their challenge, still have 21 hours to enter.

ETA (after the first comment) I drew the flowers and the swirl freehand and cut em up. So all this is done from scratch.

All flowers are handmade and so are the flower centres. I had no punches, no embossing folders back then.

I remember this card being a total HIT, my aunt asked me to make one like this so she could frame it up! Hope you guys like it!

Gingerloft Challenge – Plant a Tree

Hey all! It’s time again for another challenge at Gingerloft! This week the theme is “Plant a Tree”. You can use part or a tree in whole on your projects and show off your entry at Gingerloft. The top three cards get to be the GDT for the next challenge and a random winner is also picked from the lot to receive a gift certificate for Gingerloft Store.

This card is really pretty and OMG so clean! LOL  I have always, always wanted to make a white card and it always gets dirty. This time I succeeded (somewhat). Too bad couldn't take a good picture and again friends my camera is giving me trouble. It has started to show horizontal lines. And to make things worse my cellphone’s touch screen is playing games too! Sometimes it works and most of the times it doesn't.

Interesting Birthday

Hello hello!

Thank you very much for the birthday wishes everyone! I had an interesting birthday yesterday. Started off with this big BIG eagle coming out of nowhere and bumping right into me. BUMPED, literally! My friend says it was a Kite and I am like, whatever it was but the bugger was HUGE! The winds have been really rough since a couple of days and yesterday they were ridiculously strong so I am guessing that must be the reason behind the bird’s fall. And then this BIG piece of hard plastic scrap came flying out of the sky and landed a feet from where I was standing! Broke a couple of flower pots with the force it hit. This is not it, there is a lizard in this story too! lol A nasty lizard fell off (god knows from where) right in front of my feet! I heard the sound of it hitting the tiled floor…. phichaaak hahahaha… After this I just looked up at the sky and asked God; Freaky much? I hope you don’t have anymore surprises up your sleeve lol

I have a very simple and quick card for you today. I wanted to enter this for the “Less is More” thanks/congratulations challenge but I don’t think it qualifies as ‘less is more’.

Nothing much to say about this card. The teal layer was a scrap piece lying around so I picked it up, embossed it and then inked it up. Looked good to me so thought I’d just make a simple card that will show off the design I love the texture on this and the grungy look.

Gingerloft Challenge – Under the Sea

Hello bloggers! It’s time for another challenge at Gingerloft and this time the theme is “Under the Sea”. Please come play with us!

The image that I have used is called “Tropical Dolphin” and is available at the Gingerloft Store. My card looks really vibrant and bright but the colours are subtler in person and much nicer looking.  The star fish are roughly hand drawn.The image is coloured with regular Faber Castell colour pencils.
