Sentimental Sundays: Happy Mother's Day or Really Girly!!

Hello everyone!! I have been taking some time off from commission work and TRYING to relax.

Trying being the operative word because it seems like even if I am dying to take a break, I still want to create! Puts a damper on my "break" really :p

Anyhoo, I have been watercoloring - A LOT. 

I made two cards using the same image.

The card above is a total watercolor card using distress inks, "Party Frock" image by All Dressed Up and sentiment by MFT. The "tree" I painted myself.

The background here is watercolored but the image has been colored using Classic Faber Castell color pencils. Sentiment by SSS.

Lia Stampz : Embossing (Heat or Dry)

Hello everyone!!

I am so excited to share my card today for the new Lia Stampz challenge which is

Embossing (heat or Dry)

I tried my hand at watercolouring a "galaxy" background using layers over layers of distress inks! And I think it came out great!

Though I don't think I can make it again LOL This was a happy accident!

I followed the following color board and added only yellow as an extra color.

The image that I have used is Baby Boy on the Moon. The moon is watercoloured using distress ink, the boy and it's pillow plus blanket are coloured with classic faber castell colour pencils. 

Sentiment heat embossed (Altenew). 

I added white heat embossed stars on the background as part of my galaxy, I also added some iridescent heat embossed stars which are only visible in person. But if you REALLY look, you can see one on the top left corner and a couple to the right of the moon! :D

The heat embossed stars just pop on the watercolor background and that is what I love about heat embossing, it gives life to a project

Sentimental Sundays: Colour Inspiration Board

Hello everyone!!  I am back with a new card, a CAS, OL, watercolour card. This week at Sentimental Sundays we have a lovely colour inspiration board for you.

Our sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies.

I have used "Pearls in my hair" by ADFD. Coloured her using Faber Castell classic colour pencils... tried my best to achieve an ombre look, this was the easy part! The toughest part was to watercolour the background since I don't have a laser printer there is always a chance of ink bleeding if I mistakenly brush over the printed area, so that background took a little longer to watercolour than image! HA!

Happy Colours

Hello everyone! I hope you guys are doing great :) Thank you to everyone who stopped by and left a bit of love on my last project.

The flowers on my card are handmade and inked. The background was watercoloured and then I added texture paste using Tim Holtz's harlequin stencil. Check out the pic below, can you see the glittery textured goodness?

Sentimental Sundays: NO Sentiment!

Hello everyone!

The theme this week is at Sentimental Sundays is an unusual one for us,

NO Sentiments!

I think this one is a first for us :) 

Our sponsor this week is Fairy Tangle Art and they have provided us with BEAUTIFUL artwork. 

I have used Forget-Me-Nots Fairy Tangles by Fairy Tangle Art and have colored her using Faber Castell Classic color pencils, isn't she a beauty?! I added some hydrangeas along with the digital forget-me-nots.

I hope you like it because I had a blast coloring her! LOVE their stamps!
