Papericious - Add Some Fabric

The roses are handmade. The paper, sequins and jute twine by Papericious. Stamp by Altenew

Hello everyone!
Today is my first post for Papericious! This month's challenge is to use Fabric in your creation.
Here is what I made.

The roses are handmade. The paper, sequins and jute twine by Papericious. Stamp by Altenew

The paper, sequins and jute twine that I have used on my card are from The Wedding kit.
The two main, big roses are handmade from scratch.

I have used quite a lot of fabric, both in form of twine, thread and net. Also added a lot of texture using gesso, texture paste and glitter.
Sentiment is by Altenew.
Dies by Memory Box, Cheery Lynn Designs and Provocraft.

I hope you like it. Join us at Papericious blog to see what Ujjwal has cooked up.

Celebrate!

Altenew Inspiration Challenge, using Hennah Elements and Label Love. Colored using Faber Castell Classic pencils.

Hey everyone!
When I saw the inspiration palette for this month's Altenew challenge I was a bit hesitant.
These colours, together, are a bit out of my comfort zone.
This card is my second try. The first try was a total failure.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge, using Hennah Elements and Label Love. Colored using Faber Castell Classic pencils.

I hope you like this, I made this for a friend. I tried to keep it simple and have a lot of white space to balance the vibrant colours, but of course I HAD to add paint splatters. Added a lot of dimension to the flowers, looks like this one will have to mailed out in a box!
I have used Hennah Elements plus Label Love.
Coloured the stamp using Faber Castell classic pencils. Added a bit of glossy accent on the flower centers, a few enamel dots and sequins to add the bling factor.

Thats it from my side!
Stop by my Instagram, I post quite regularly there!
love and hugs,
Erum

Rustic

Sentiment by Altenew, Dies by Spellbinder and Cheery Lynn Designs, Stencil by Tim Holtz

Helllloo!!
I saw this gorgeous moodboard over at Artful Crafting and thought I'd play along.
The colours are SO not up my alley. I would've just used a couple of shades provided (preferably the greys and blue) and created a monochromatic card. BUT I wanted to challenge myself and stuck to the colours shown.

The big rose is handmade. The other three roses I dyed using distress inks.
The moodboard photo is so rustic and grungy, I wanted my card to have the same look
Applied tons of gesso and texture paste, also used Tim Holtz layering stencil to add design.
I also added a lot of stamping on the background but you cant really see that in photos because of the splatters.

Tons of sparkle on this card, closeup below.

Added a couple of sequins and I was done.
I hope you like it. I was very apprehensive, I didn't want to add the rusty lattice, I was itching to add a white one instead but I stopped myself. I think it doesn't look too bad, it actually works, separates the floral arrangement from the background!
