Altenew March 2018 Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello!

You must be here from my crazy talented friend Nina-Marie's blog.

Today Altenew is releasing 8 stencils, 5 wide washi tapes and 5 Metallic Ink Sprays!

I have three projects to share today. I will start with the Leaf Burst Stencil.

I used Altenew Crisp Inks for inking and then with a help of black pen I outlined the design very roughly.

I added some dots here and there to add more hand drawn elements and give it a look of a stamp.

I used Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder for my sentiment. The sentiment is from Crafty Friends Stamp Set.

Second card uses the Watercolour Bouquet Stencil.

I did a bit of masking to extend my floral design. Again, I used Altenew inks for inking.

I added some doodling here as well by adding double, irregular outlines to my design.

The large hello sentiment is from Blooming Bouquet Stamp Set.

In the end I added black and blue paint splatter to look like its a real watercolour piece.

My last card features the Poppy Bloom Stencil.

I inked this using Cotton Candy and Parrot Crisp Inks.

To the inked design I added pencil details with Prismacolor pencils.

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month - March

Hello :)

I have to share this project I made using the Spellbinders Large Die of the Month for March.

I made the box myself, added the lacey border and some pearls along its edge.

This border die was part of Small Die of the Month for February.

The Large Die of the Month in the cute little favour box which I die cut using the beautiful DCWV Blush paper pack.

There are more little dies included in this pack to make tiny tags and decorate these little boxes. You can use this for Mother's Day or for party favours. I will be using this for Mother's Day. I will probably add flat brownie or chocolate nuggets to these tiny boxes.

Altenew: Build-A-Flower: Chrysanthemum

 

Hello everyone!

Today is Build-A-Flower release and the newest flower is a Chrysanthemum.

We also have this set in a bundle with inks!

I did a bit of masking and stamped my leaves and flowers using all the layers.

Colours I used were from the Rose Petal Collection and Tropical Forest.

After I was done stamping I used Prismacolor pencils to add details to the flowers and leaves. 

I kept on adding details till I was happy with the look (read: cardstock was burnished and I could not add more colour LOL)

I also added shades of blue to the background with pencils.

Then I stamped the sentiment.

In the very end I added some crystals and clear drops from Studio Katia.

I hope you like the card. I am planning to do a video soon on how I add pencil details to stamped images.
