Catered Crop – Guest Chef

DSC03879 Pearl buttons as flower centres.

Arrgh this post was suppose to go live yesterday!!

Anyhoo! I made this card for Catered Crop. I am the guest chef there for the current challenge and this card is based on the recipe from two of my featured projects. The inspiration for this card came from the last week’s Tuesday Trigger.

DSC03886

The flowers are handmade. This is my first time playing with felt, never knew it was so easy to handle!

DSC03884

Detail shots:

DSC03881

Glitter balls and Jumbo glitter from Pie Lane. Pattern paper is a digi freebie. Butterflies are Silhouette cuts.

I tried a bit different approach to hand stitching this time and skipped a place. The other one is normal zig zag hand stitching.

DSC03875

Frame is Silhouette cut from my stash. Sentiment by Fiskars. Edges have been distressed using ColorBox cat eye queues.

DSC03872I stained the lace with coffee some time back but never used it, it was originally pale blue. I tied a fancy bow and placed a greyish gem button at the centre.

That’s it for today. For those of you who asked me about colour blocking and missed my post, please scroll down.

Crafty hugs!

Erum! I'm always left breathless by everything you make, but this time I actually gasped "Oh!" out loud. Very melodramatic! ;) Seriously though, you are such an incredible artist. The softness of the colour, the felt flowers, the gems, the wee butterflies, that die cut, the stitches... You are AWE-inspiring! (have I told you that, lately?)

If I would stop pinning your cards to my pintrest I would be able to CASE this for my cousin's wedding in a couple of weeks. But oh no! I love it and want everyone to see it too! :)
The sentiment is perfect, the flowers are SO COOL, and I love the soft & distressed color (instead of pure white) for this kind of card.
GORGEOUS!
