Altenew: A Year In Review Blog Hop 2017

SO excited!
This event is close to my heart because last year this was the first time Altenew invited me to be one of the guests on the hop.

Studio Katia December 2017 Release Blog Hop
Hello everyone!
Welcome to Studio Katia December Release Blog Hop.
You must be here from Studio Katia's blog where our lovely Rowena shared her immense talent with you!
I will be featuring Blooming Bunch Stamp Set today.
I love fall colours and this is one of my favourite go to palettes.
I stamped the image onto watercolour paper with Altenew Permanent Black Ink twice.
I cut out the main flower and the second one which is on the right.
I started colouring my uncut image first (the leaves and the plum coloured flower) with ditress inks.
Then I coloured the two flowers I fussy cut earlier.
I then popped them up on different levels to add dimension.
I also added extra leaves from the first cut up image to make a fuller floral spray.
Before adhering the whole bouquet to my one layer base, I added some light colour wash to the background along with some splatters. And stamped the sentiment too.
After I was done, I added my absolutest favourite sequins and confetti in Rainbow colours!

Altenew Build-A-Flower Carnation
Hello!
You must be here from the Altenew blog.
Altenew has done it yet again! This month's flower is the gorgeous Carnation and whats more fab is that its a full layered stamp. NO colouring required!
I made this card in no time really! I used Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet to create my flower. The leaves were inked with Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades, except for the one in the right. That was done with Forest Glades and Evergreen and looks SO GOOD.
I was a bit short on time and couldn't repeat the whole stamping process, but I suggest you should definitely go for the latter ink shades if you use this combination for the flower.
I used one of the papers from New Day card kit for my background. I think it tones down the bright colours of the flowers.
I heat embossed the flower bunch and added some Rouge ink as watercolour.
I added the sentiment label at the very end because I couldn't decide where to put it!

Studio Katia: December 2017 Release Day 3 Kobi's Hugs and Kisses
Hello everyone!
It's December Release Preview Week at Studio Katia blog.
I am featuring Kobi's Hugs and Kisses on my card today.
I used Dotted Patterns Set 1 to die cut my front red panel. Then used a Tim Holtz stencil to make the "rays".
Next, I stamped Kobi onto watercolour paper with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and coloured him with Prismacolours. After that I die cut the images with a coordinating die.
The most amazing thing is that the die cuts a slit on Kobi's paw, so if you want you can make him hold objects! I think it's quite clever!
I chose to add the bouquet of roses stamp for Kobi.
In the end, I heat embossed a sentiment on black cardstock and popped both Kobi and the sentiment label onto the card front using foam tape.
Lastly, I added a few Magic Crystal Hearts. They look divine in person!
All these items will be available on December 15th.

Altenew December 2017 Release Blog Hop
Hello friends!
If you just happen to stop by, there is a complete hop list at the end of this post for you to take part in Altenew's December Release Blog Hop.
Apart from the dies and stamps, Altenew is releasing their NEW Mini Blossom Die cut machine!
It is the cutest and prettiest machine ever!
My first card features the Wild About You Stamp and Die set.
For my background I used one of the papers from My Family Scrapbook Collection.
I stamped the leaves using Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades. For the flowers I used Cherry Blossom Crisp Inks, Shades of Purple and Pocketful of Sunshine.
My second card features the newly released Parrot Paradise Die set and Brushed Alphabet dies.
It makes me SO happy that the coordinating dies for Parrot Paradise and Totally Tropical are here!
Though I am only using the former on my card today but you will soon see a Totally Tropical card from my side.
I started off by making clouds with Ocean Waves Crisp Ink. This colour is beautiful for sky too!
I then stamped my parrot onto Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and coloured him with Artist Markers in Frayed Leaf, Forest Green, Buttercream and Warm Sunshine. For the beak I used Paper Bag Artist Marker. These colours are from Set A and Set B.
I then Die cut "Fly High" from my new favourite alpha dies, the Brushed Alphas in white and black because I didn't know which colour I should go with.
In the end it all worked out since I used the black ones as an offset to my white alphas.
Now on to the good part!
