Altenew Build-A-Flower Carnation

Altenew has done it yet again! This month's flower is the gorgeous Carnation and whats more fab is that its a full layered stamp. NO colouring required!

I made this card in no time really! I used Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet to create my flower. The leaves were inked with Frayed Leaf and Forest Glades, except for the one in the right. That was done with Forest Glades and Evergreen and looks SO GOOD. 

I was a bit short on time and couldn't repeat the whole stamping process, but I suggest you should definitely go for the latter ink shades if you use this combination for the flower.

I used one of the papers from New Day card kit for my background. I think it tones down the bright colours of the flowers.

I heat embossed the flower bunch and added some Rouge ink as watercolour.

I added the sentiment label at the very end because I couldn't decide where to put it!
