Quick Christmas Cards!

Hey everyone!

The cards that I have to show you today are not post-worthy… but what the heck!

26112010877

Seeeee!!!! I mean it when I say quick cards! LOL

Meet them individually! First meet Miss Traditional!

26112010879

So! Miss Traditional here is covered in red sequins (no glitter this time folks) and I used a holographic green ribbon for the trunk… The tree is obviously hand drawn! Even a kid can draw a triangle! I could have done so much more with this but I really wanted to make “Quick Cards” for a change! But even these turned out to be not so quick… you will see in a while what I am yapping about!

Now lets meet Mr. Teal!

26112010880

Now isn’t Mr. Teal just gorgeous?! I LOVE this one! These are the same pink tinted silver sequins that I used earlier in the album post. This combo looks amazing in person!

This is how they are from inside.

26112010885

These quick cards became not-so-quick when I started coloring the gifts stamp….but the Miss Traditional and Mister Teal REALLY needed a lift of some sort… Oh say HI to my left index finger nail… first appearance ever! *applause*

Friggin Diamantes/Rhinestones! (Freebies Too)

SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THE POST FOR THE FREEBIES.

24112010869

Hey everyone!

The card that I have to show you today did not take a lot of time to make (half a day- NOT full, only half :P) but the application and assembly of rhinestones was killing! As you can see I made only two tiny swirls… I was going for the readymade rhinestones flourishes look. Change my mind half way!

Here’s the card, it’s based on Laura’s sketch for 2S4Y.

24112010865

The argyle pattern on the blue flap is a stamp from Schlosser Designs. I won three clear stamp sets of my choice in their blog hop. The triangles below the blue flap is a border die cut. The big scallops are hand drawn. The three layers of oval are all templates that I designed using Photoshop. Do you want those? Let me know and I will put em up as freebies.

(click on the image to go to their respective page)

and the inside… Sorry for the bad picture angle… you can do only so much from a cell phone!

24112010874

I love the color combo of this card!

Till next time..hugs and kisses!

Something New and a freebie

SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS POST FOR THE FREEBIE.

All pictures are taken from a cell phone, bear with me please.

Hello hello!
This post is going to have A LOT of pictures. It's not a card that I have to show you today. It is infact a scrapbook of sorts that I made for someone's niece.

I am using BLOGGER today to publish my post so that you guys can click on the pictures to get a clearer, BIGGER  view.
Here we go!

The front main page:

Cute? I know! LOL

The sun, clouds, green land and fences are all hand drawn. The sun is too cute, all glittery and bright!
The flowers are punched.

This is what it looks like after you open it up.
The left flap is the back of the main page/cover. The pages on the right say the girl's name "SAMAA". All the letters of her name are on a different page which makes it 5 pages in all. The backside of all the pages is also decorated. The alphabets are all hand drawn, this is why both the A's look different.

Lets start with "S".

This girl, Samaa.. her favourite colors are pink and yellow, so I tried my level best to keep those two as the main colors. I sprinkled sequins quite generously on the letter! This silver sequin has a tint of lilac and pink.

Backside of "S":

Thanks to TLC for all the sentiments. Without it I would not have been able to make it so interesting. I found almost all related sentiments on that blog. They go SO WELL with the pictures.

On to "A":

Okay, I LOVE this pic of hers! Its FABOOSH! And check out how well the sentiment goes with it! Thanks to Paulette
Do you love the silver frame??? Totally rock chick thing! :o)
Used purple sequins on A.

Now back of "A":

This picture was probably taken at some Halloween party... Do you like the embossing on the frame? It is not the candy cane folder (which I don't have and would LOVE to get my hands on) but the distressed stripes one.

On to "M":

The embossed background and the bold text is highlighted by holographic white glitter. I made this project a little more than 2 months back, don't remember the stamps... the sentiment of course is from TLC.

Backside of "M":

The moon (crescent) and the cute cat are digi stamps. The sentiments again are from TLC.

On to "A":

Here I used glitter pen (gel pen) to highlight the embossed background. The letters "AWSAMM" are the initials of the girls in picture... it's her gang! LOL If you pronounce it in a sweet sixteeny kinda way it goes like "awesome". The sentiments are TLC and Meljen's.

Backside of "A":

Again, I have highlighted the embossed designs with a yellow gel pen. The TLC sentiments are quite generously coated with holographic white glitter.

On to the last "A"

This is Samaa's aunt. The pink and red blooms are hand drawn.

Backside of "A":

This page has pictures of her childhood, her grandparents, parents and aunt. Here too I have highlighted the positive embossed parts with gel pens of respective colors.

On to the last page, the inner side of back page of the cover.

Hope you guys like it! I spent quite a lot of time making this. I do like the end result. But I don't think that I will be making this again!! LOL Too much work!

Big Hugs!
-Erum

Too Late…

Scroll to the bottom of this post for the FREEBIE

Hey everyone! The card I made today was for “Everything but the kitchen sink” challenge… I just noticed that the link was closed… I was too late. Well nonetheless… still like the color scheme and I think I am going to make a few really simple, maybe even one layered cards using this combo…

This card is based on the sketch at Truly Scrumptious.

On to the card…

13112010763

Just used normal lead pencils on the image for the grey… the flowers are obviously colored!

The flower is handmade, coordinated the center of the flower with the fat ribbon (faux button). The white ribbon is a velvet ribbon with holographic threads running through it. It looks awesome in real life, so Christmassy!

I have highlighted the embossed part with a silver color pencil. And the border on the right side is a border die cut. That's it! Hope you like it!

Hugs!

-Erum

P.S: Love the bow, reminds me of Jimmy Olsen ;)

Challenges: Truly Scrumptious (sketch), Inktegrity DT Challenges (flowers and ribbons)

My First Easel Card!

Yup! Very first and a very rough card too!

There are many mistakes in this card but I thought I’d continue working otherwise I will never try an Easel card again… and I tell you one thing… those of you who still have not tried this out, SHOULD! It is so easy! I think I will be making a lot of these!

Okay don't be harsh and don't judge, this is just a rough card… and again a cell phone picture.

03112010735

The tree is an internet download, shaded the scenery on Photoshop. I have applied white glitter at the bottom (snow). The tree goes from grey glitter to silver… have used embossing paste to draw the outline and branches of the tree… The scalloped oval shape is hand drawn and the sentiment is hand written. The sentiment is not that clear in the picture but it is quite readable otherwise.

I will make a better version of this card soon. Just was in a hurry to post my first easel card!

Hugs!

Gothic Chic (or a goth chick!)

The girl who asked me to make a few birthday invites for her 18th birthday is a wannabe Goth. I call her bat. She only wears black and basically lives black. She hates to admit it but she loves pink too, hence the combo.

On to the card, this invitation is based on the sketch by Laura at 2S4Y. (again a cell phone picture)

10112010753

The flower is handmade, the swirls are hand drawn, cut and then glittered. Added a bit of hand stitching just to frame the card.

The paisley stamp was sent to me by Stef (thanks a ton). Stef is my very own, personal Santa Clause! *hugs*

Tomorrow I will post my first easel card! Till then… hugs and kisses!

Big Box

Hey everyone! I totally forgot about this. I made a box, a big box that holds… hmmm you can say a dress shirt… I made this two months back… this was the LAST CLEAR pic I took from my camera… You can see that the angle is not right and you cant even view the box properly… it’s because after this shot all the pictures taken had horizontal lines on them.

DSC02641

Anyway, the paisley is a stamp that Stef sent me (Thanks Stef!)… the black polka dots are actually punched circles… I used a typical single office punch machine for this. I had to make a grid for stamping the paisley and sticking the tiny circles . The flower is handmade… It looked pretty real!

The swirl as always is hand drawn, cut and then glittered with olive green glitter. The border of the box has been framed using a crinkled ribbon (typical sub-continental), here it is called “gota” (“Gota” has metallic  threads running through them along with normal ones, you can call it metallic ribbon LOL I have no other word sorry! And I think they are handmade)

The base of the box is covered with a Hallmark wrapping paper… I just found a “less lined” pic. Here you go!

DSC02643

LOL now I remember after looking at this picture, I accented the swirls with some sequins and green diamantes. And yeah I know the flower center ruined everything! But I still like the bloom!

Super Hugs to all of you!

-Erum

P.S: You can see that the stamping is not done properly… we have BAD inks here :(

WARNING: Wear your shades… TOO much sparkle in this post! (+FREEBIE)

GO TO THE BOTTOM OF THE POST FOR THE FREEBIE.

Hello hello there my Blogville buddies… my room is a kitchen sink at the moment. I have started so many cards and finished none of them. I did however manage to finish one card today. This is an “Engagement Invitation”  based on the sketch from Digis with Attitude. First take a look at the card then we can begin with all the screaming…

Again, it’s a cellphone pic… so bear with me.

01112010726

EeEEEEEeee aaaAAAaa I know… that is a LOT of glitter, O.K, more than A LOT… But this is how our weddings are! Lots of sparkle and shine! There is never too much bling in this part of the world when it comes to weddings and related occasions!

Anyway this person is wearing steel grey dress on her engagement, hence the matching invitation.

I have glittered the embossed section of the card and sprayed some lacquer on it to make it stick, it has given the embossed flap a very different look than the base (which are same by the way).

Here is another view against the light, so you can see what I am talking about.

01112010727

Seeee… it looks nice right?? It looks better with the lacquer… the lacquer muted the glitter somewhat and gave the paper a pearlescent touch. Thank God!

Don’t know why the flower is looking fluorescent, it is really not… in this picture it is giving off light on its own! LOL Oh I so want my camera!!!

The flower is handmade. Never made this one before. Looks good, too big though.

The card looks beautiful… I had my doubts when she chose this particular folder… I showed her the birds and swirls one… thinking that the lesser the glitter there is, the better it will look.

The light orange swirly border is a diecut.

Will show you the complete package soon, till then… hugs and love!

Erum

P.S Forgot to add the sentiment :(
